Innovation has been talked about everywhere. Now, people are interested in learning to innovate to make an impact in their personal life as well as community. This session is designed to get people started to think, create and innovate. At the end of the session all participants will have their BIG idea to build on or pursue.
No one has understood innovation more clearly and simply than Praveen Gupta. Praveen, through his own research, has developed a science of innovation, and a curriculum for teaching innovation that has been successfully implemented at multiple institutions in the United States, Mexico, Malaysia, Portugal and India. Praveen's talk is designed for people to recognize their skills and opportunity to think BIG.
The session will include creativity, innovative thinking, and thinking BIG activities. This is a first step for people to use innovation in their current daily lives or to start their own businesses and pursue their passions.
About Praveen:
Praveen is the author of several books including Business Innovation in the 21st Century, The Innovation Solution, A Complete and Balanced Service Scorecard, and Stat Free Six Sigma. Praveen worked previously at Motorola, pioneering Six Sigma deployment methodology, and teaching other professionals worldwide. Praveen has done extensive work in teaching and achieving excellence, and is presently focused on teaching and deploying innovation. Praveen has written about 200 monthly columns on Excellence and Innovation.
Praveen teaches Business Innovation at the Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Besides teaching innovation, Praveen is president of Accelper Consulting (www.accelper.com), a management consulting firm helping organizations achieve profitable growth through excellence and innovation. He has consulted not only with over 100 Start-Ups but also several Fortune 100 companies.
Praveen frequently speaks at conferences and meetings internationally on the topics of Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Business Scorecard, and Business Innovation. He is the founding editor of the International Journal of Innovation Science launched in February 2009, and founding Chair of Business Innovation Conference established in 2008.
